Google's Foresight app transcribes Mac voice notes locally

Promtime

Voice notes you record on a Mac get transcribed by Gemma 4 E4B or Gemma 4 12B running on the machine itself, then turned into a new document. That's how Google AI Edge Foresight works. Google posted the new macOS app on its developer site, and Testing Catalog spotted it.

The app runs on Gemma 4 and EmbeddingGemma2, and it can connect to your Google Drive to build a knowledge graph. An embedding model turns text into numeric fingerprints, so notes and files that mean similar things end up near each other and can be linked.

The post doesn't say which Macs the app needs or which of the two Gemma models it picks when. Your rambling voice memos finally get a filing clerk.
