@trq212 has left Anthropic after more than a year on Claude Code, according to an October 25 post on Twitter, and is taking “a bit of a break before diving into something new.” In that time, the post says, the product scaled “larger than I ever imagined.”

Between June and September alone, merged pull requests to Claude Code more than doubled, and the share that had to be reverted fell by more than 40%.

Most of the post is a farewell to the company. It credits Anthropic’s mission and “the idea of a race to the top”: “if we work hard and responsibly, we can raise the bar and inspire others to great outcomes.” The colleagues staying behind are “the most talented, thoughtful, competent, and earnest people I have ever met,” and the author is “glad they are at the wheel” and trusts them deeply. The community on X gets thanks for making this “the most fun (and sometimes stressful) job I’ve ever had.”

For anyone who wants more Claude Code content, the post recommends @addyosmani, @lydiahallie, @_catwu, @ClaudeDevs “and of course @bcherny who started it all.” Claude Code began as Claude CLI, a demo Boris Cherny built in about two days of work. It got “two or three likes” on Slack, and a teammate was doing real coding with it the next day.

The post ends with a request to Gmail: make it so “you can’t scan for deactivated email addresses,” because “I was hoping for a relaxing Friday night.”

Elvis Presley’s estate sues Anthropic over 274 songs

Elvis Presley’s rights holders count 274 of his songs, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” among them, in a new suit claiming Anthropic trained its models on them without permission. How do you handle AI-written lyrics, checked against originals or published as is?
