The Information reports that Nvidia is in talks to invest in Perplexity at a $30 billion valuation, which would make the chipmaker a backer of the AI search company rather than only its supplier. The same report says Nvidia considered another path: paying Perplexity to license some of the startup's technology and hire some of its staff.
