Claude’s $200 Ultra plan drops the 5-hour limit

As of October 30, Claude’s pricing page lists four plans, with a $200 Ultra tier above the $100 Max. For verified accounts, Ultra has no 5-hour limit but keeps a weekly cap of 10x Pro usage. Next to Max, the extra $100 buys three things: no five-hour window, 10x Pro per week instead of 5x, and $200 a month in API credits instead of $100.
Max now appears on the page as a single $100 plan, with no 5x or 20x version. Ultra costs the $200 that Max 20x cost and starts from “Everything in Max”. At $100, Max gives 5x Pro usage every five hours and every week, Fable included up to half the weekly limit, $100 a month in Claude Platform credits, early access to advanced features and priority access at high-traffic times. Ultra changes only the limits and the credit amount.
Max has two stacked limits. One is a rolling five-hour window. The other is a weekly limit that covers all models and resets at a fixed time assigned to each account. Claude on web, desktop and mobile draws from the same allowance as Claude Code. The pricing page adds that how fast you hit a limit depends on the model, how long your chats are and how large your files are. And the Ultra exemption from the 5-hour limit is for verified accounts only.
Set against the old name, 10x can look like a step down from 20x, but the two figures count different windows. Max 20x promised 20 times Pro’s per-session allowance, four times the session headroom of Max 5x for twice the price. Ultra’s 10x is a weekly figure, and the matching Max figure for the same week is 5x.
Fable works the same way on both top plans: included up to 50% of the weekly limit. On Pro, where the page marks it new, you pay for it with usage credits. Max and Ultra bill monthly only. Pro is the one paid plan with an annual option: $17 a month with $200 billed up front, or $20 billed monthly.
The $200 in API credits on Ultra matches what Anthropic’s support article earlier listed for Max 20x. That was when the monthly credits arrived on October 7. They covered the Claude API, Claude Managed Agents, the Claude Agent SDK and the Console playground. They did not cover Claude Code or extra usage in the Claude apps, and they expired at the end of each billing cycle. To claim them, subscribers link a Claude Console organization in Settings > Billing, and new subscribers can do that after seven days on the plan.
