Anthropic cuts Claude prices 40% for US government buyers

Under a new GSA agreement, US government buyers get 40% off Claude Enterprise, Claude for Government and the Claude API. Agencies can buy at that price today, directly or through GSA’s Multiple Award Schedule, while the discount on purchases through cloud providers arrives only “in the coming months.”
The $1 billion in savings is Anthropic’s own estimate. Agencies pay for the usage they consume with no minimum spend, and the discount extends to state, local, tribal and territorial governments.
Claude Enterprise is in process for FedRAMP Moderate authorization through the FedRAMP 20x program.
