Claude usage credits bought from Dec 7 expire after a year

Usage credits on paid Claude plans bought on or after December 7, 2026 will generally expire 12 months after purchase, Anthropic says in its help center. If you keep a credit balance to work past your Pro, Max or Ultra limits, credits bought before that date don’t expire, while newer ones vanish unused after a year, with dates varying in certain countries.
The rule covers one-time purchases, usage bundles and auto-reload. Expiration dates show on the Usage page in Settings, and purchases stay non-refundable even if you cancel or delete your account. Anthropic’s email to users puts it plainly: “Any unused amount after 12 months will be removed from your balance.”
