One sign-in puts 50+ ElevenLabs models inside Claude

On September 14, ElevenLabs added its generation tools to the hosted MCP server it launched in August for agent management. Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor can now produce speech, music, sound effects, images and video in the same conversation where the request is typed, Testingcatalog reports. More than 50 models sit behind a single sign-in, and the price of generating through the connector has not been announced.

Until this release, the connector only worked with ElevenAgents, and only for management. It could surface topics from recent conversations, duplicate an agent for a new market, compare configurations across a workspace and estimate model usage and cost before a change shipped. To generate anything, you had to use the ElevenLabs web app or the API. The creative tools now appear in the same tools list as the management ones, so one session can produce a script, a voiceover, a soundtrack and a cover image without switching apps.

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard that lets an assistant call outside services for its user. On the generation side the server connects to ElevenCreative, the brand ElevenLabs put over its generation products earlier this year. It includes text-to-speech, speech-to-text, voice changer, voice cloning, voice isolation, sound effects, music, voice design, the Studio editor for long-form projects, the Ads Engine, and the image and video generators.

The server runs remotely, and nothing is installed on your machine, according to the ElevenLabs documentation. You sign in with OAuth, the standard sign-in-and-approve flow, and grant access to one ElevenLabs workspace. No API key gets copied into the client. Permissions range from read-only monitoring to full agent management, and access can be revoked from the client or from ElevenLabs account settings. In Claude the connector installs from the connectors directory. Claude Code adds it with one terminal command, ChatGPT takes it as a developer mode plugin, and Cursor accepts the server configuration in its settings.

The connector in Claude’s directory and the default server URL both point to the global environment. Workspaces in the isolated EU, India and Singapore data residency environments need a custom connector set to their region’s URL, signed in with the account for that environment.

Coding agents have a separate route: a command-line tool installed through npm with a set of companion skills, covering Codex, Claude Code, OpenClaw and Hermes. The original ElevenLabs MCP server from 2025 is also still available for developer workflows. It runs locally on a developer’s machine with a user-supplied API key, alongside the hosted version.
