Anthropic reaches profitability
The company told investors it aims to double revenue to $10.9 billion in Q2. Anthropic expects to post its first operating profit.
The growth puts the startup in a strong position versus OpenAI. However, the profitability may be temporary due to huge compute costs.
The update comes alongside a new funding round. Anthropic is also expanding its customer base by launching tools for small businesses and law firms.
The news breaks as rumors circulate about a possible OpenAI IPO.
