Claude Design moves into Artifacts, but projects stay behind

Your design systems can move into the Claude app, but your projects can't yet. The standalone Claude Design site closes on December 14, 2026, and new designs, design systems and slide decks in Claude are created as artifacts.
Migrated systems are read-only on their own page, so you ask Claude to make changes. Originals sit untouched in the standalone version until it shuts down.
Projects keep working there until the closing date, and after that they're deleted and public links stop working. Organizations with zero data retention can't turn on artifacts, so they can't migrate and have to download projects one .zip at a time.
On moving projects into Claude, Anthropic only says more details are "coming soon."
