Linus Torvalds puts "with-llm" in a kernel branch name

The branch is called noref-filemap-read-with-llm, and according to Phoronix that suffix points to AI-assisted work, with Claude Code in particular. Phoronix describes it as a hefty Linux kernel improvement that Linus Torvalds is working on.
He has tried this before. Torvalds already used AI to fix a kernel bug, which landed in commit 818bebe. Reports from XDA Developers and It's FOSS say that fix took a lot of finagling, and his own knowledge played a large part in it.
The branch details come from Phoronix alone, and the branch's name is the main evidence that Claude Code is involved.
