Anthropic delays changes to Claude Code limits
The company notified users that it is postponing a planned shift to a new payment model. Usage from Claude Agent SDK, the claude -p utility, and third-party apps will continue to draw from the base plan limits.
The original plan was to have those tools use dedicated monthly credits instead of standard subscription limits, effective today. Anthropic said it is re-examining the plan to better match user development scenarios.
No changes to billing are in effect now. The existing subscription limits remain, and no extra credits are being issued. The company promised to give advance notice of any updates to usage rules before they take effect.
