Anthropic gives K-12 teachers free premium Claude access
Anthropic launched Claude for Teachers, giving verified K-12 educators in the US free access to Claude's premium features. The package includes a library of teaching skills and a direct link to curricula mapped to the education standards of all 50 states.
The verified curricula connect through the Learning Commons connector, and the skills themselves are built on data about how learning works. Access opens automatically once a teacher is verified.
Anthropic built the service around K-12 privacy: it says it doesn't train models on user conversations, and student data is covered by a data-processing agreement written to comply with FERPA.
