Anthropic's growth boosts AWS margins

Sales of Claude models through Amazon Bedrock drove the increased margins. SemiAnalysis estimates Bedrock's annual revenue at $5.5 billion, with 80-90% of clients opting for Anthropic's solutions.
Anthropic's annual recurring revenue hit $30 billion. The company added $21 billion in new ARR during Q1 2026, largely thanks to enterprises adopting Claude Code.
The integration benefits Amazon's infrastructure too. Over half of Bedrock's tokens are processed on in-house Trainium chips rather than Nvidia accelerators, helping AWS maintain high cloud computing margins.
