Anthropic set to release Mythos 1 for security and code

Anthropic appears poised to open-source Mythos 1. References to 'claude-mythos-1-preview' have appeared in AWS and Google Cloud, as well as in the Claude Code and Claude Security codebases.

The model will power an updated Claude Security service with a revamped interface featuring vulnerability graphs and detailed reports. A pilot with Glasswing already used Mythos to detect over 10,000 critical vulnerabilities in popular software.

Separately, partners are testing Claude Opus 4.8, which is slated to arrive in the coming weeks.
