Claude Code extension lands for Visual Studio

A community developer has crafted an unofficial Visual Studio plugin that adds native Claude Code support. The extension uses the same protocol as the official VS Code and JetBrains plugins, so the CLI hooks up automatically.

The key difference from the terminal version is code handling. Edits open in Visual Studio's standard diff window, where users can accept or reject changes. If rejected, a rationale can be added, and the model reworks the task.

The tool automatically feeds compilation errors from C# and C++ and the current code selection into the CLI. A panel shows connection status and token cost stats. There's also an auto-accept mode that skips the diff window.
