Claude Code team hands most code reading to Claude

One Claude Code pull request went through more than fifty rounds of agent review and fixes overnight before its author stopped it. That's the odd edge of a process that more than doubled merged PRs from June to September, per Anthropic's engineering post, while the share of reverts fell by more than 40%.
The pressure is volume. Changes landing per day in Anthropic's monorepo went from about 2,500 in May to more than 30,000 in September. Every PR gets a Claude review: several agents hunt bugs, and a separate group votes on each finding before it's posted.
Engineers still want circuit breakers that tighten approval when revert numbers rise. Meanwhile the reviewer stops at three rounds and asks the author to rethink the approach. Even the robot reviewer got a bedtime.
