Claude Code v2.1.211: a flag to forward subagent text
Claude Code v2.1.211 is out, adding one new option alongside a batch of security and stability fixes.
• New --forward-subagent-text flag and CLAUDE_CODE_FORWARD_SUBAGENT_TEXT variable: both pull subagent text and reasoning into the stream-json output • Permission previews in chat channels now neutralize bidirectional override characters, zero-width characters, and lookalike quotes • A hook ask decision for non-sandboxed Bash can no longer be overridden by auto mode • Parallel sessions sharing a credential store no longer log out together after waking from sleep
It also fixes a caching regression on Bedrock, Vertex, Mantle, and Foundry where the trailing system-context block was billed as fresh tokens on every request.
