Claude hit by a second straight day of outages, Opus 5 still down
Anthropic opened an investigation into a fresh incident at 05:57 UTC on July 30 and reported at 06:26 UTC that every model was back except Opus 5. Per the status page, the disruption hit claude.ai, the Claude API, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
The day before, on July 29, elevated error rates showed up across several models at once, with users getting "529 Overloaded" responses. Particle News reports that roughly half the outage reports involved Claude Code and the API.
Widespread errors across many models also hit on July 16, July 9, and in June.
