Anthropic, Blackstone acquire Fractional AI

The new venture, backed by Anthropic, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman, makes Fractional AI its operating center. The 2024 startup's team will focus on deploying Claude models within client businesses.
The company targets mid-market firms, including private equity portfolio companies. Deal terms aren't disclosed, though each of the three consortium founders reportedly committed $300 million.
Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic, and Apollo Global Management also invested. Post-acquisition, Fractional AI goes all-in on Anthropic's stack, ending prior integrations with other AI providers.
