Anthropic just reset both the 5-hour and weekly limits for everyone
On July 9, 2026, Anthropic zeroed out both usage limits for every Claude user, restoring full quota regardless of plan. The @ClaudeDevs account posted the announcement at 18:01 UTC as a single line, with no reason given.
Claude runs two overlapping limits: a 5-hour rolling window of 300 minutes that refills on its own, and a separate weekly budget covering a rolling seven days. Resetting both at once restores full access for anyone who'd hit either one. The change was applied server-side and took effect immediately, no restart or subscription renewal required.
That's at least the fourth blanket reset since mid-May 2026, following ones on May 15, June 1, and July 1. Promo access to Claude Fable 5 runs through July 12.
