Anthropic to temporarily limit access to Claude Fable 5 for subscribers
Boris Cherny, head of Claude Code, detailed the company's plans for Fable 5. After June 23, access to the model under standard Pro, Max, and Team subscriptions will be paused. Users will need to buy and use separate credits to continue accessing the model.
The company cites anticipated high load and a need to preserve service stability. Anthropic aims to return Fable 5 to subscriptions once compute capacity allows reliable access for all users. For now, Fable 5 remains available without limits via API at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens.
