Claude Code sessions can now run on your own machines
Version 2.1.224 moves session execution onto your infrastructure. What's new:
• The claude self-hosted-runner command turns your machines or containers into a runtime for web, mobile, and desktop sessions, on Team and Enterprise plans • Plugins install from a zip archive over HTTPS, no git or npm required, with optional SHA-256 pinning • Sessions can message each other across any of your machines, with peer discovery through ListAgents (macOS and Linux); a message that bypasses permissions is held until you approve it • The sandbox gained credential masking: JWT parsing with field-level masking and AWS SigV4 re-signing
The 200-subagent cap per session is gone. Concurrency and depth limits stay.
