The new version adds MCP server authentication via CLI using login and logout commands. This allows for non-interactive usage and supports stdin redirection for SSH workflows.

A behavioral change: bash commands now proactively prompt Claude to respond to output. Previously the model only considered context; now this behavior is configurable via the respondToBashCommands setting in settings.json.

The update fixes an issue where streaming requests would fail after the computer woke from sleep. Background agents now also request permission for actions in the main session rather than automatically rejecting them.
