Claude Code v2.1.206: /doctor now trims your CLAUDE.md
This release touches diagnostics, MCP, and background agents:
• A new /doctor check offers to trim committed CLAUDE.md files, cutting anything Claude can infer from the code itself • /cd gets directory path suggestions, like /add-dir already has • /commit-push-pr now automatically allows git push to a repo's push-remote (remote.pushDefault), not just origin • Gateway: /login supports public gateway endpoints managed by Anthropic
The MCP server timeout bug is fixed: a per-server request_timeout_ms set via --mcp-config or .mcp.json is no longer ignored, so long calls stop dying at the default 60 seconds. Background agents now update immediately after a Claude Code update.
