UST puts Claude Code to work reading chip pinouts and writing regression tests

UST is wiring Claude into the engineering environments where it checks chip designs, validates silicon, and supports products after launch. Claude Code reads schematics and pinouts, then writes and runs the tests engineers used to script by hand.
The main entry point is iDEC, UST's platform for validating hardware before manufacturing. Per UST, its closed-loop pipeline already cuts validation cycle time by 50% to 70%, compressing standard four-day runs down to 48 hours. Claude compares live data against a digital twin and flags firmware regressions and signal-integrity defects.
UST is also plugging Claude into its CarePath, IntelliOps, and FinX platforms, and it plans to train 20,000 of its specialists worldwide to work with the model.
