Nff turns Claude into a firmware development engineer

The nff tool is an MCP server that gives Claude direct access to physical hardware over USB. The model can write code, compile it, flash ESP32, Arduino, or STM32 microcontrollers, and read data over the serial port.
The system supports an autonomous repair loop. If a device in the field reports an error, nff captures register and stack states, passes them to Claude for analysis, and the model proposes a fix. This enables diagnosing failures without physical access to the board.
The tool ships as a compiled Rust binary and includes integration with the Wokwi simulator for testing code without physical hardware. The project is MIT-licensed.
